POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for administering voucher payments for PBCA contracts. Assignments may include invoicing, verifying, and providing written documentation certifying the accuracy of owner payment requests. This is the first tier of a three-tiered position.

 

Required Education and Experience

Education:  High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

Experience:  2 plus years of experience in accounting, banking, or similar business experience

Computer Skills:  Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, ten-key machines, and fax machines.

Other Requirements:    Must pass background check indicative to the position requirements.

Essential Function Summaries

  • Verify and provide written documentation certifying the accuracy of owner payment requests in accordance with the PBCA Contract.
  • Disburse housing assistance payments to the owner once the payment has been verified and the voucher has been fully approved with an Owner's Certification of Compliance from HUD's Tenant Eligibility and Rent Procedures.
  • Confirm that calculations in tenant files and voucher adjustments are correct.
  • Regularly communicate with owners/agents to complete forms, fix errors, and submit files within deadlines.
  • Ensure quality standards are being met by auditing their own work and communicating any problems or ideas for process improvement with the PBCA Voucher Manager.

 

 WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is primarily an office position with the opportunity to move about at will. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate various pieces of office equipment. The employee is required to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Employee may be exposed to noise from basic office machine operation. The work environment is fast-paced and moderately noisy.
