Bremerton Housing Authority is a public, local government agency that provides affordable housing to the Kitsap area as well as providing services throughout the nation as a consultant to other affordable housing agencies and as a Federal Contractor for HUD. The Position

We’re looking to fill the PBCA Contracts Specialist position with someone who is organized, has great writing skills with attention to detail, has excellent customer service, and someone who preferably has an understanding of affordable housing programs. This person will come in with initiative to roll up their sleeves and get right to work while at the same time building positive relationships. This position is the first tier of a two-tiered position which contributes to the overall effectiveness of the Performance Based Contract Administration work and the organization. Assignments may include, but are not limited to: processing renewal or rental adjustment submissions, conduct utility analysis, review and prepare binding contractual documents; ensure federal regulations and policy are followed by owners/agents throughout Washington, Utah, and Nebraska; and provide outstanding customer service to CMS clients.

Required Education and Experience

Education: Associates degree in accounting, business, or closely related field.

Experience: 3 plus years of experience working in real estate, property management, accounting, bookkeeping, banking, escrow, mortgage, or other closely related fields. Experience must include reviewing documents for accuracy and interpreting legal, regulatory and/or contractual documents. Prefer at least two (2) years’ direct experience working with Project Based
Section 8.

Computer Skills: Experienced user of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, ten-key machines and fax machines.

Other Requirements:  Must pass background check indicative to the position requirements. Bremerton Housing Authority has the discretion to accept any other equivalent combination of education and experience when relevant.
